Each year, Jean Ann Lynch, board president and founder of Baby Basics, is asked to speak at various organizations throughout the community. So, when Cathy Reichenbacher reached out to see if she was interested in speaking with the Naples Woman’s Club, she (of course) jumped at the chance.
While Jean Ann is a member of the organization, Baby Basics’ operations director, Jennifer Fey, also has a unique connection to the organization. Back in 2000, when Jennifer was a senior at St. John Neumann High School in Naples, she was chosen to receive a four-year scholarship from the Naples Woman’s Club to attend Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana. Now, all these years later, she is honored to be able to volunteer for the organization’s largest fundraiser – the Kitchen Tour – as a way to show her appreciation for all they’ve done for her.
And, the good deeds from the Naples Woman’s Club don’t stop there. Jean Anh was not only able to share Baby Basics’ story with members of the organization this month, but each woman donated baby clothes and wipes that she was then able to give to Baby Basics’ families. What a special holiday surprise!
Any opportunity to share information about Baby Basics allows more people to understand the need for diapers in our community while also learning how Baby Basics is combatting that need. If you or an organization that you are involved with is interested in having Jean Ann speak at a function, please shoot us an email at INFO@BabyBasicsCollier.org.
